Way to go Navas! Fulfilling a childhood dream of competing in the world-renowned X Games extreme sports contest, Navas Petit not only held his own against more experienced competitors but also served up an awesome third place result in the highlight Moto X QuarterPipe High Air competition!
  • Navas Petit wins X Games bronze medal
  • GASGAS MC 450F rider smashes previous record
  • Young Spaniard impresses on debut X Games appearance
Making his X Games debut at this year’s event, Navas travelled from Spain to California to take on the world’s best freestyle motocross riders. Riding his GASGAS MC 450F, the 25-year-old wasn’t sure of what to expect from the contest but was 100% focused on delivering his absolute best, as always.

As the second rider into the opening runs, Navas immediately beat the previous record set one year ago, launching to a height of 40 feet and 10 inches. From there on, and with his confidence high, the fun-loving Spaniard knew he was in the fight for a prestigious X Games medal.

In the final runs, where the top six athletes went up against each other to decide the winner, Navas held his nerve and went big – clearing an incredible 45 feet and four inches (close to 14 meters). The result secured Navas the bronze medal and ensured his name would go down in the illustrious X Games history books.

Navas Petit: “I don’t even know where to begin! Competing at X Games has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid, watching it on TV with my dad. Now I’m here, mixing it with the best in the world, and to come away with a medal is an absolute dream come true. Beating the previous record feels amazing and I’ve learnt so much since I’ve been here, I’ll definitely be back next year, fighting for the gold! The result is dedicated to my family, friends, and all the people who have supported me on my journey. Without them I wouldn’t have made it this far.”
