Last 2024 MotoGP™ test for Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 at extended Misano stay 2024 MotoGP news One day after round 13 of 20 in 2024 MotoGP GASGAS’ Grand Prix riders were back on fast duty in Italy. Heavy rain showers on Sunday night meant a slightly delayed start to the last official test day of the season and the team had a list of projects and items to ratify, especially as the previous test in Mugello had been rained-off.   The weather was stable and decent for the morning and afternoon runs. Acosta was given a 2025 spec of his current race bike to make a judgement on continued development and with a view to final confirmation ahead of the Valencia test: the first outing of 2025, two days after the championship closer this November. The rookie, who is 6th in the world championship standings, gave his thoughts on a new engine and some aerodynamics. He ranked 4th fastest after more than 70 laps. Fernandez circulated in the first session, making 32 laps with his current race machine and trying some set-up alterations to improve his feeling and competitiveness further.   The third and final Misano appointment for the crew will happen from September 20-22 for the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna.   Pedro Acosta, 4th position: “Well, super-happy about how the test went. Today we tried many things and overall I’m quite pleased because many of these new things are helping us also for this season. Let’s see how it goes and when we can start using them. There were three bikes in the box today and that’s the first time I’ve seen this. We need to be happy; we tried and found many things let’s try to catch up for the next GP.”   Augusto Fernandez, 20th position: “A shame that we could not do our whole plan in the morning but the things we tried we are sure about. That’s a positive. It took some time to change things but we have the direction we want. I hope the next rounds will show some of the work we’ve done here.”   Nicolas Goyon, Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 Team Manager:“It’s been a super intensive day. The last test of the season is always a matter of trying to find some options for 2025 and also settings for the rest of the year. Pedro did a lot of laps and the job that needed to be done. He tried some aero parts and a new engine. The good thing is that most of the parts have been positive and we can use them this season. We’ll see how we can manage this development. With Augusto he had the morning session and focused on the rear suspension. Now we’ll collect all the new information and make the combination for Valencia.”   Sebastian Risse, GASGAS Technical Manager: “We were working with Pedro on primary confirmations for 2025 and aspects of the bike we want to improve. With Augusto it was with items that we can still update for the current season. We found some interesting things on both sides and with the second Grand Prix here we have a good chance to put those together and work out what can help us this year. Also, as a preview for the Valencia test program. With Pedro we have now arrived at a point where he has good experience and with his ability on how he can adapt and react to things it puts him in a very good position for us to develop: it has been the first test here where we were able to really use him for this.”   Grab Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 test and race photographs from Misano HERE   Misano official test final times   1.
