SIMON LÄNGENFELDER STORMS TO VICTORY IN SWEDEN RED BULL GASGAS FACTORY RACING CONTINUE THEIR INCREDIBLE RUN OF FORM. Simon Längenfelder takes second Grand Prix victory of 2023. Jorge Prado extends MXGP podium streak to nine in Sweden. Prado maintains championship advantage with four stops left.  Simon Längenfelder was extremely impressive aboard his MC 250F and took his second Grand Prix victory of the season in fine form. The first moto belonged to '516' – he led from start to finish and reached the finish line with an advantage of five seconds. The second moto was thrilling; Längenfelder clinched second around the halfway mark and put in an incredible charge. Unfortunately, he just missed out on the win by the smallest of margins. 00.928 was the deficit that he faced when the checkered flag waved! 1-2 results were more than enough for the overall win, fortunately, and that triumph helped him climb to fourth place in the championship standings.   Simon Längenfelder: "I felt so good this weekend! I really enjoyed the conditions here in Sweden – it was technical. I am happy with how things have gone since I got back from my injury. The team and I are working very well. We keep improving, so let's continue like this next weekend."   For the tenth time this season, Jorge Prado secured pole position and he did so in a commanding fashion. Such a ride provided him with valuable momentum in moto one and he put that to good use – he stormed to the moto win with an impressive advantage of eleven seconds. Torrential rain battered the track before the second moto; Prado had a mediocre start in the stint but performed in a methodical fashion to hit the finish line in sixth place. 1-6 scores put '61' in third overall at the Grand Prix and, most importantly, his series lead remains intact at ninety-eight points.   Jorge Prado: "I am so happy with my riding! I had a good rhythm, already starting from yesterday. I felt great on the track with my MC 450F. It was tough to pass in the second moto and, unfortunately, I started in sixth. I was faster than the riders in front, but I could not pass."   The Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing squad will swap the hard-pack dirt for sand now, as round sixteen of the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship will be run in The Netherlands on August 20.   Download high-res images of our racers in action at the Grand Prix of Sweden here.   Results – 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship, Round Fifteen   MXGP – Overall 1.
