JORGE PRADO TAKES SECOND AT MXGP OF LATVIA 2-3 SCORES HELP PRADO MAINTAIN SERIES LEAD IN THE MXGP CLASS. Jorge Prado maintains MXGP championship lead. Prado races to 2-3 scores at the MXGP of Latvia. Prado takes trophy for the seventh time in 2023.  It was a thrilling weekend of racing at the rugged circuit of Kegums, as unpredictable weather ensured that the riders and teams were put to the test. Prado used the power within his MC 450F to take the holeshot in moto one and then led thirteen of the seventeen laps, before eventually settling for second. Yet another holeshot helped him lead three more laps en route to third place in moto two. 2-3 scores put him in second overall at the Grand Prix of Latvia and ensured that the red plate will remain on his Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing steed. Fifteen points is his advantage in the championship standings.   Jorge Prado: "The weekend was okay, but not too special. I felt better on Saturday than I did today. I had a great chance in the first moto, but I was not riding free. The championship is long and there are positives that I can take from the weekend, so we will focus on those and keep on working."   The Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing squad will continue their bid for the MXGP title at the next round of the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship, the Grand Prix of Germany, on June 11. The historic venue of Teutschenthal will host that event.   Download high-res images of our racers in action at the Grand Prix of Latvia here.   Results – 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship, Round Eight   MXGP – Overall 1.
